Degree Project Brand Brief
Brand Brief: Healthy Hearts/Stress Reduction
______________________________________________________________________
Vision Statement:
Everyone will have healthy lifestyles and stress will be reduced to create happy lives, healthy hearts, self reliance, and self responsibility.
Mission Statement:
We will promote self reliance, responsibility, and recreation through having tense individuals set optimistic goals for themselves to cope with their stressful environments, and make mundane/anxiety filled tasks, a fun and beneficial recreational tool.
Brand Essence:
R & R, responsibility and recreation. Don’t worry, be happy. React.
Brand Attributes:
Responsible, Optimism, Viral, Active.
Value Proposition:
Changing your environment, by setting personal goals, will be a self sustaining way to promote a positive substitution for stressful mundane activities. Replacing meaningless tasks with optimistic opportunities to inspire
Guiding Principles/Key Beliefs:
Create - create self reliance, Responsibility - responsible for your own actions and environment, Fun - make mundane activities fun, Positively Pollute - spread the message and pay it forward to the next person, Movement - being proactive towards your own needs and moving towards motivational actions.
Target Audience with 3 Personas:
The Busy Body: the businessman/woman, student, or philanthropist who’s plate is always full and thinks that they can’t create the time to escape or change their environments, or routine.
The Perfectionist: the social pressure and reputation of doing great things, ones who have created the self-imposed stress of performing and delivering greatness 24/7. Those who think that slowing down, don’t know that it is still a reputable act.
The Average Joe: those who aren’t goal oriented and think that special routines aren’t going to do much for them, and put health responsibilities off on someone else like a doctor or exercise coach.
Key Markets:
Social Media sites, physical work environment surfaces, emails.
Key Competitors:
Fun Theory, LiveStrong, American Heart Association, Cheerios, Blue Cross.

Research Experiments: Round 1
I've just initiated my first round of research experiments. The objective is to get real responses and information for the design department to see: who really needs this type of tool/campaign, how people combat stress, and how much information they know about stress reduction and their current heart condition.
Experiment 01: Questionnaire and statistic survey - Data collection
__
Healthy Hearts/Reducing Stress: Questionnaire
______
Please answer the following questions as honestly as you possibly can by typing your answer below each question and email them back to me, thank you!
A.
1) Do you ever feel stressed being in graphic design?
2) Which facets/elements stress you out? ex: deadlines, amount of work, subject matter, anything.
3) Did you know that emotional dis'stress' effects your heart and cripples your nervous system and blood flow?
B.
4) What do you currently do to keep a healthy lifestyle? ex: exercise (running, weight-lifting, yoga), diet/nutrition (what are you eating).
5) What do you love to do outside of design? ex: play guitar, hiking, throwing squirrels at school buses.
6) Why don't you participate is certain exercise routines? ex; time consuming, not credible, already think you're healthy enough.
7) Why don't you participate in certain nutrition diets?
C.
8) Would you like to take a break from your stressful lifestyle/daily routine?
9) If you had a psychological exercise routine that wasn't time consuming would you participate in it?
10) Hypothetically, if you liked playing guitar and found out there was a way for you to reduce stress and physically strengthen your heart by playing more guitar, would you try it?
11) Do you think the creative field is more stressful that others?
12) Would you like a list of 'stress reduction' tips that would cater to your preferences and daily routine?
Experiment 02: Interactive poster - Persona Test and Participation Call

Research Experiments and Assumptions: Healthy Hearts
Assumptions:
- From the general public.
1. Exercise or nutrition alone, will keep a healthy heart.
2. Stress is purely an emotional or psychological thing.
3. All stress is bad.
4. Stress has no effect on my heart or physical health.
5. Emotional or psychological elements can't help my physical body.
6. If i appear fit, then I am healthy, my heart is healthy; invincibility.
- From me
7. The design field is more stressful than most, from creative pressure and not physical pressure.
8. Not all designers have the time to take a break from their normal routine.
9. Most won't think an emotional exercise will be credible towards their health.
10. Not all will think something as simply as laughter or playing the guitar can reduce stress and strengthen blood flow in and out of your heart.
11. Heart disease is low on the totem pole next to most medical deffects.
12. Go green, and health programs are purely trend and need persuasive elements to make change.
13. Most will stress just thinking about stress.
14. Most think that its too complicated to help, and do nothing. Intimidation.
15. They think they need outside help to help themselves. Lack of responsibility.
Experiments:
1. Questionnaire
a) do you get stressed by your job?
b) is your schedule so busy that you don't have time for healthy activities?
c) what do you do currently to keep a healthy lifestyle?
d) what do you love to do outside of work or school?
e) would you consider participating in (cardio benefits) exercises that
compliment your current routine and preferences to what you love?
2. Interactive Poster
a) sign-up sheet, asking people what they love to do "what makes their hearts beat."
b) a list of stress reduction tips to do in your current environment.
c) have a blog that draws in peoples comments from the posters.
3. Email info
a) email blasts to students and professionals asking how much they know about stress and heart issues.
b) asking them what they love to do and informing them that their activities can progress your heart.
c) ask them if they would be willing/interested to participate in a small exercise routine that caters to their preferences.
